Summary of Job Duties:

The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a full-time Instructor of Finance position which begins in the Fall 2024 semester. The employee is expected to primarily teach courses in real estate at the Department of Finance, with a teaching load of 12 credit hours (4 courses) per fall and spring semester. Light service duties are expected as well.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree from an AACSB (or equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of
    employment

  • At least 10 years of experience working in finance industry

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate finance courses as an instructor of record (please provide a syllabus of the course and teaching evaluations)

  • At least one of CFA, CAIA, CMT, or CFP professional certifications

  • Experience or willingness to integrate industry-relevant experiences into the curriculum

  • Experience or willingness to teach courses in multiple areas of finance
