SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary for this position is $66,144. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $77,639. The Department of Social Sciences seeks a highly motivated candidate to teach courses in Political Science.  In addition to a teaching load of 15 contact hours per semester, plus five office hours per week, the candidate will participate in departmental, college and appropriate professional activities.  Innovative and knowledgeable individuals with demonstrated experience in instructional technology, learning management systems, and student-centered approaches to course and curriculum development are encouraged to apply.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree in Political Science is required. One year of teaching experience is required.  The successful candidate will have experience in American Politics, International Relations and/or Political Theory.  All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: PhD is strongly preferred.  Community College teaching experience is also strongly preferred.
