Instructor/Teaching Assistant

The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for the position of Teaching Assistant/Instructor, for the Data Literacy Programme (DLP).  The Data Literacy Programme (DLP) is catered to the administrative employees of NUS to empower them with valuable skills in data analytics and will progressively be offered to other participants as well. Successful candidates are expected to commit to two years of full-time service. More details about the position are provided below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development of Teaching Material
• Development of eLearning Videos
• Design of assessment tasks
• Facilitation of classroom discussion
• Learner consultation
• Supervision of group projects
• Helping with academic related services

Qualifications

• Qualification: Bachelor or Master’s degree, in data science or statistics or mathematics or applied and computational mathematics or computer science or psychology or physics or engineering. Bachelor or Masters’ degree in other fields will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Teaching experience or related working experience in a similar capacity is desirable but not essential.
• Able to convey information in a clear, concise, and interesting manner.
• Able to work cooperatively as a member of a team and manage learner groups.
• Be able to start work by 15 April 2024, full-time for a period of at least 2 years.
