Description of Work Unit	The Legal Studies Interdisciplinary Minor in the College of Liberal Arts provides a broad-based academic foundation for students interested in legal or law-related fields. This minor is intended for students who plan to attend law school, as well as to those who are interested in a wide range of careers in which some grounding in legal studies is helpful, such as media, business, human resources, communications, government service, and others. Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Position Summary	The College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office hires part-time Instructors to teach courses for the Liberal Arts Legal Studies minor. Course to be taught will be Contemporary Legal Studies.
Conditions of Employment	Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)
Required Job Qualifications	Juris Doctor (JD) degree Demonstrated commitment to and evidence of excellence in teaching capability at the college level required.
Preferred Job Qualifications	Experience teaching courses related to Legal Studies preferred. Ability to advance Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through teaching and outreach.
