What you’ll do

You’ll be the first point of contact for the After Care Resource (ARC) program, which helps young people aged 17 to 24 transition from care to independent living. This program provides essential resources, support, and guidance, playing a crucial role in their journey towards independence. Your primary responsibilities will include providing intake support, brokerage assistance, and referral support, while working closely with Therapeutic Caseworkers and the Team Leader.

You’ll:

  • Engage with care leavers and their casework supports, ensuring intake assessment is completed accurately
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to support care leavers and enhance program improvement
  • Maintain professional standards of behaviour and confidentiality of client information
  • Assist Therapeutic Caseworkers with documentation collection, brokerage requests, and records retrieval
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records in accordance with RANSW policy
  • Exercise self-care, maintain professional boundaries, and participate in regular supervision
  • Perform additional duties as delegated by the Team Leader or Manager

The details

  • Permanent part time, 3 days per week
  • Based at Gosford

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or equivalent
  • Experience in intake, assessment and coordinating referrals
  • Experience working with and engaging young people and families
  • Competence and understanding of working within a trauma informed framework
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate emotionally charged situations with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to internal/external clients and effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated excellence in record keeping and data recording
  • Technologically adept with the ability to navigate multiple programs including Microsoft Suite and CRM Systems
  • Comprehensively insured motor vehicle & C Class driver’s licence
