BASIC FUNCTION:
– Research
– Data collection

WORK PERFORMED:
1. Market Research – Research opportunities in foreign markets appropriate to New York State industries, with a particular emphasis on the strategic industries in all 10 regions. Develop and maintain a document that includes market research findings. Use REDC reports as a basis for the strategic industries and regional plans for export promotion.
2. Data Collection and Analysis – Research and compile information on export trade statistics for New York State for meetings and events.
3. Special Projects – Assist with the development and implementation of targeted trade projects, such as case studies and development of in person and virtual events.

Minimum QualificationsEducation level required: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program focused on International Relations or similar area.

Knowledge Required:
– Strong internet research and basic data analysis experience required.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research in both written form and orally.
– Ability to collect key information from numerous sources.
– Good understanding of world geography.
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
– Some knowledge of international protocol.

*You will be required to be in person at least four days per week in the NYC office
