The intern will be part of the DRC Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team. In this capacity, he/she will be responsible for providing support for the implementation of the activities of the MEAL department on the DRC base in Dori. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for managing the program archives on his/her assigned base, their digitalization and electronic archiving.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, he/she may be asked to work outside the usual profile of the role and may therefore have to vary his/her working hours.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY  :

Support DRC in the management of Program archives

  • Support Dori’s MEAL team in sorting archives according to the terms and plans previously established in the dedicated SOPs;
  • Support Dori’s MEAL team in the digital classification of scanned archives;
  • Assist MEAL assistants in transferring files to SharePoint Archiving.

Participate in data collection and analysis missions

  • Correctly use data collection tools and project databases;
  • Support the MEAL team in the preparation and conduct of beneficiary targeting surveys;
  • Participate in the analysis of data from evaluations carried out (PDM/PIM, MSA);
  • Ensure the quality (credibility, completeness and relevance) of the data collected;
  • Ensure the implementation and application of norms and standards in terms of data protection.

Protection, Do No Harm, Gender Approach and Accountability

  • Correctly use data collection tools and project databases;
  • Support the MEAL team in the preparation and conduct of beneficiary targeting surveys;
  • Participate in the analysis of data from evaluations carried out (PDM/PIM, MSA);
  • Ensure the quality (credibility, completeness and relevance) of the data collected;
  • Ensure the implementation and application of norms and standards in terms of data protection.

Ethics and compliance

  • Manage the resources (material and financial) made available for the department’s activities and provide supporting documents on time;
  • Comply with and respect all procedures (administrative, financial and logistical) in force and current conditions as stipulated in the DRC Code of Conduct and the internal regulations governing DRC personnel;
  • Comply with the DRC code of conduct;
  • Apply zero tolerance in terms of prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse;
  • Respect and enforce the procedures in force at DRC as well as the requirements of lessors;
  • Support Dori’s MEAL team in carrying out all other tasks as assigned, including interim roles;
  • Carry out any other tasks other than those mentioned above requested by your superiors and consistent with your area of ​​responsibility.

Code of Conduct (CoC) and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)

  • Report all allegations and cases of CoC in accordance with DRC procedures;
  • Alert any suspected cases of CoC in accordance with the reporting policy;
  • Collaborate in the effective implementation of the CoC through awareness-raising, inductions and training;
  • Apply zero tolerance in relation to Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse;
  • Promote protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

About you

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Have a diploma of at least Bac+2 in Documentary Sciences, Statistics, Social Sciences, or any other similar field
  • Have knowledge of Archives Management, Data Management, Social Science or Project Management;
  • Be flexible and able to evolve in a hostile environment;
  • Be able to travel throughout the country, in areas with high security challenges;
  • Good knowledge of office software (Word, Excel) and digital archiving would be an asset;
  • Have experience working in a hostile environment or be able to work in these environments;
  • Great faculty of organization and precision;
  • Able to work independently and take initiative;
  • Strong resistance to stress and ability to work at a high pace corresponding to emergencies
  • Honesty
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian engagement

Training: (including certificates, permits, etc.)

  • Diploma in Archiving, Statistics, Social Science, Monitoring-Evaluation

Other  :

  • Training in digital archiving, data management, CHS/Sphere, digital data collection, project monitoring and evaluation

Languages: (indicate level of proficiency)

  • French and Fulfuldé
