Harnessing the power of LLM to revolutionize various applications, ITD is committed to pushing the boundaries of natural language understanding and generation, and we’re offering an exciting internship opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about the transformative potential of LLMs.

As an LLM intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that leverage LLMs and explore their applications across diverse domains.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Model Exploration: Dive deep into the capabilities and nuances of LLMs, gaining hands-on experience with the state-of-the-art language models

-Application Development: Collaborate with our teams to develop and implement LLM-based solutions for real-world problems in areas such as natural language processing, content generation, chatbots, and more. It’s a plus if you have pre-knowledge of txt2sql.

-Research and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest advancements on the field of language models, contribute to on-going research initiatives, and propose innovative applications for LLMs.

-Evaluation and Optimization: Assess the performance of LLMs in various contexts, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to optimizing their usage for specific applications.

-Documentation: Document your findings, methodologies, and implementations to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

3. Period of Assignment

Duration: 10 weeks

Timing: June 2024 onwards

4. Location

ADB Headquarters, Manila

5.Expected Outcomes

-Research and Discover LLM applications use cases in ADB.

-Prototype a chat interface for database, i.e. based on OpenAI. Let everyday business users query the database using natural language like chatting in Teams, instead of getting help from IT department to build PowerBI report etc. every time the need arises i.e. query and discover ADB’s historical transactions sit in the mainframe database we created during the mainframe decommissioning.

Qualifications

6. Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program (any major as long as the candidate has LLM knowledge and coding skills, but prefer Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering Major)

7. Relevant Experience

Strong programming skills (Python-preferred).

Familiarity with natural language processing and machine learning concepts

Enthusiasm for exploring and understanding the capabilities of Large Language Models

Excellent communications and collaboration skills.
