Internship at the Information Technology Department Cybersecurity and Compliance Unit (ITD/ITOD-CS)

1.INTERNSHIP TOPIC 
Application of Data Analytics and Methodologies in IT Risk Management, IT Compliance, and Cybersecurity

2.SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
• Join ITD IT Risk team and improve ADB’s risk management and cybersecurity posture.
• Learn about IT risks, controls and cybersecurity in an enterprise environment.
• Identify and provide analysis and recommendations for IT security risks, and track corrective actions performed by the business through risk exception process.
• Support the IT Risk Team in their due diligence tasks by carrying out IT risk assessments
• Support the Unit’s processes and supporting tools (e.g. templates, reporting, archives)
• Carry out research and, if appropriate, participate in the preparation of notes to file on IT risk-related topics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve their key controls across cybersecurity, business and technology processes using data analytics and automation tools.
• Document work completed and new processes introduced with the help from ADB teams.

3. PERIOD OF ASSIGNMENT:
• Duration: At least 8 weeks up to 11 weeks
• Timing: January 2025 onwards

4. LOCATION
ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines

5. EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
• The intern improved understanding and gained hands on experience of IT risk management and cybersecurity operations in an enterprise environment.
• Documented work performed, observations and lessons learned.
• Established or improved existing risk assessment and management processes
• Internship report in form of a presentation summarizing the preparation and result of the “Application of Data Analytics and Automation in Risk Management.

Qualifications

6. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Postgraduate Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, information systems, cybersecurity or related disciplines are highly desirable.
• Intern must be enrolled at a school in one of the ADB member countries for the entire duration of the internship.

7. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Exposure to IT risk management and information security training is desired.
• Experience in IT audit, advisory and consulting is highly desired.
• Skilled in scripting and use of data analytics and automation tools is strongly preferred
