Duties and Responsibilities
This position is located in the Enterprise Risk Management Section of the Accountability Systems Service in the Business Transformation and Accountability Division (BTAD) of the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC). The focus of this job is to support the implementation of enterprise risk management across the global Secretariat. The incumbent reports to a Senior Management and Programme Analyst. Within limits of delegated authority, the intern will be expected to 1) conduct research on issues related to enterprise risk management and internal control system; 2) assist in drafting and preparing reports, presentations, draft memoranda and correspondence; 3) establish internal databases; manage data relevant to the scope of programme/project activities; provide support in consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc.; 4) work on websites and other outreach materials; 5) perform other duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
To qualify for an internship with the UN, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
(b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
(c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above).

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
