Internship at the Office of Anticorruption and Integrity / Office of the Head (OAI/AIOD)
1. Internship Topic
Review on: (i) how ADB’s new Investigation and Enforcement Framework (IEF) should be best cascaded to our reflected in ADB’s rules, regulations, contracts, and other standard forms, and (ii) what key features and best practices need to be incorporated in an Integrity Risk Management Framework.
2. Summary of Job Description
(i) Implementation of ADB’s new Investigation and Enforcement Framework (IEF) through:
• Identifying appropriate additions/modifications to cascade or reflect the new IEF in all levels of ADB’s policy structure, including OAI’s Standard Operating Procedures;
• Developing templates and other document to help ensure that communications and reports address IEF requirements;
• Identifying policy gaps and ensuring policy consistency across ADB’s rules, regulations, contract and other standard forms and ensure compliance with ADB’s Anticorruption Policy;
• As may be assigned, other policy and research initiatives including OAI’s investigative practices under the new IEF and its interactions, submissions, and dealings with the enforcement bodies (Integrity Enforcement Committee and Enforcement Appeals Committee).
(ii) Development of ADB’s Integrity Risk Management policies and policy architecture, specifically:
• Assisting in mapping of non OAI policies and procedures to be updated, retired, or revised in view of revisions to the Anticorruption Policy; and
• Policy and research initiatives as relevant to the revisions of the integrity risk management policy architecture, including suggested revisions to the Anticorruption Policy.

Duration: 11 weeks
Timing: January 2025 onwards

5. Expected Outcomes
(i) Research Study summarizing the review, findings, and analysis
(ii) Knowledge sharing event in OAI to present key findings of the research
Qualifications
6.Education Requirement
• Masters/PhD in Public Policy, Public Administration, Law, Governance, Anticorruption, Procurement, Financial Management, or other related fields
• Intern must be enrolled at a school in one of the ADB member countries for the entire duration of the internship.
7.Relevant Experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including the ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, discuss issues, findings, and recommendations
• Demonstrated teamwork (works effectively with diverse colleagues in own unit and other divisions and departments)
• Demonstrated facilitation and knowledge sharing skills; building networks with others for the effective communication and exchange of knowledge and ideas.
