Duties and Responsibilities
•Support the coordination of United Nations activities in Peru, including assistance in organizing meetings, workshops, and events. •Conduct research and analysis on key development issues in Peru, with a focus on topics relevant to the SDGs. •Assist in drafting reports, briefs, and other communication materials on UN initiatives and achievements. •Provide support in maintaining databases, filing systems, and other administrative tasks as needed. •Assist in liaising with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other partners to facilitate collaboration an information exchange. •Participate in team meetings and other relevant activities of the RCO.
Qualifications/special skills
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship. To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). For this internship, studies in the area of International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Economy or Sociology is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in Spanish is required. Knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of another UNofficial language would be an asset.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization. Successful candidates should discuss their specific visa requirements before accepting the internship offer.
