Data Analytics on SPD’s Support to the Investment Committee (IC)

2. Summary of Job Description

– Analysis. The selected intern will perform a quantitative and qualitative analysis of:

o SPD’s support and interventions in ADB Nonsovereign Operations (NSO) investment decisions [IC and Blended Finance Committee (BFC)]. The analysis will comprise both a quantitative (categorization) and qualitative (synopsis) of interventions, culminating in a presentation.

o Quantitative analysis of the time taken between submission of information to risk management and the issuance of credit notes at concept review and final review, as well as the key causes of delay following concept clearance, investment committee approval, and signing.

– Data Management. The selected intern will assess current IC secretariat (ICS) database and:

o organize both IC and BFC databases for accuracy and consistency.

o current data sharing practices of ICS, in support of ADB’s NSO investment decisions, propose options, and implement a selected solution.

o provide the option to create reports or dashboards.

Duration: 11 weeks

Timing: June 2024 onwards

ADB HQ, Manila

5. Expected Outcomes

– Data-driven conclusions and communications plan to build awareness around business processes for the approval by the IC and BFC of NSO transactions.

Qualifications

6. Education Requirements

Master of Business Administration or Master in Business Analytics or Master of Science in Analytics. Candidate must be currently enrolled.

7. Relevant Experience

– Investment banking
