The International Department of the Netherlands Red Cross (NLRC):
The International Department of the NLRC is coordinating and implementing a wide range of projects all over the world. Within the department, the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (PMEAL) team is responsible for surfacing results, analyzing impact and facilitating learning so that each project, as well as the whole organisation, continuously adapts and improves.
Purpose of the function:
The International Department of the NLRC is currently conducting the mid-term review of its 2020-2030 strategy, and is looking for an intern to support with facilitating the reflection process, gathering inputs from staff and partners, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to write a progress report and proposal for strategy adaptation.
What will you do?
- Be part of the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (PMEAL) team
- Support with various administrative tasks such as taking minutes, organizing and preparing for meetings.
- Summarize existing strategic documents through a desk review
- Gather inputs from staff and partners through a survey, interviews, focus group discussions
- Co-analyze data and organize findings to provide an overview of progress on each aspects of the strategy
- Co-facilitate write-shops to articulate NLRC’s vision and objectives on key themes (localization, climate, cash and voucher assistance)
- Co-develop progress report and proposal for strategy adaptation
This is the perfect place for you if you:
- Are a Master’s student interested in discovering the humanitarian sector. A specialization in organization studies, Change management or experience with organizational processes or strategy is an asset.
- Speak and write fluently English; working knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset
- Have strong analytical skills and are able to and enjoy processing and analyzing large quantities of information
- Have strong interpersonal and facilitating skills

The location of our association office is The Hague, within walking distance of Laan van NOI station. Like everyone else, you will work partly in our office and partly from home.
