SUMMER 2024 INTERNSHIP – NORWEGIAN REFUGEE COUNCIL USA
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization helping people forced to flee. Our 15,000 staff work in crises across 40 countries, providing life-saving and long-term assistance to millions of people every year.
NRC USA
NRC USA was established in February 2016 in Washington, D.C. The NRC USA office has two primary functions: (1) raising money for NRC’s overseas programs to support conflict-affected refugees and internally displaced people; and (2) advocating and providing humanitarian policy advice to the US government and other UN Security Council members. The issues NRC USA works on include facilitated access to humanitarian assistance, respect for International Humanitarian Law, improved global response to internal displacement, and better humanitarian response. NRC USA is also a resource to universities, think tanks, and the public on refugee issues and seeks financial support and partnerships with U.S.-based individuals, foundations and corporations. For more information about NRC USA, please visit www.nrcusa.org.
NRC USA is seeking an intern this summer to support the Executive Director, advocacy team and foundations advisor in their administrative, advocacy and fundraising activities.
