Panagora seeks an internal communications manager to implement our internal communications strategy, working closely with the Director of Corporate Communications. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience in communications and preferably some international development experience. Successful candidates will have experience drafting internal communications to foster transparency, support knowledge management, and facilitate a robust company culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage Panagora’s internal communications strategy, working closely with the Director of Corporate Communications and the leadership team to make sure that we achieve determined benchmarks
- Manage Panagora’s Intranet homepage and drafting updated content on the site
- Developing original content and stories to be published on Panagora’s intranet site
- Manage communications for internal corporate events such as weekly staff meetings, town halls, and strategic planning sessions
- Ensure quality control for contractual deliverables and new business proposals, following style manual standards; includes directly supporting those needs and/or outsourcing and overseeing with editing pool
- Support internal communications from the executive office to Panagora staff in the headquarters and project offices
- Create thoughtful communications and build on our strategy to improve the connection between our headquarters and project office teams
- Provide intermittent training and orientation to existing and new staff on corporate messaging
- Develop job aids to help staff retain key style manual information
- Support external communications by flagging and sharing story ideas with the team
- Support the team as needed
Requirements
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree with international focus preferred
- Five to seven years of experience in communications and preferably some international development experience
- Experience with internal and/or external communications messaging, processes, and strategy a plus
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Experience and/or knowledge of USAID and international development and familiarity with USAID branding and making guides preferred
- Strong organizational skills and be solutions-oriented, taking initiative to solve problems creatively with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to self-manage and re-prioritize to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience living or studying abroad a plus
- Fluency in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus but not required
Reports to: Director of Corporate Communications
Salary range: $70,000 – $87,708
