About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of our Strategic Communications
team. 

As the Internal Communications Officer you will work collaboratively with diverse teams across
the organisation, to schedule and produce a range of inspiring, informative and engaging
internal communications. 

Working with the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, you will conceive and create
compelling content for a range of channels including Sustrans intranet and a weekly newsletter.
You will also help manage and run Sustrans monthly all-colleague webinars. 

This role will actively enable further development of employee engagement and will support
several strategic change-related projects across the charity.

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a
nearby office hub. 

About you 

 You should have excellent communication skills including an ability to communicate a range of
issues and concepts for different audiences using a variety of communications channels. 

You should have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain
relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders at different levels and locations. 

You should have the ability to use your own initiative to create content that increases staff
engagement. 

You should be able to plan and prioritise a varied and heavy workload to meet deadlines. 

You should have the ability to work with senior colleagues on potentially confidential or
sensitive issues.
