About the role:
Powys Council, Ceredigion Council and Transport for Wales are embarking upon an ambitious project to recommission the local and regional transport network across Mid Wales by the summer of 2025. As part of this project the Project Officer will work with officers from across both organisations to effectively co-ordinate the integration of the provision of local bus and home to school transport functions for Powys County Council in the regional context, ensuring that ‘value for money’ is firmly embedded in the principles of the service delivery and that they ensure appropriate transport arrangements are put in place for our communities.
You will provide technical knowledge in the planning and delivery of the function to meet both statutory and the Council’s standards and regulations.
To develop and implement policy and marketing procedures, working across the County to deliver an integrated transport service, including cross border.
Develop transport solutions and work with community transport operators and other key stakeholders in Powys to ensure effective collaboration in the delivery of public transport services.
You will need to work effectively with the Lead Officer School Transport, Mainstream & ALN.
