Job Description

UNICEF Laos is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly proactive individual to support our Education Programme. The Education Specialist will be working closely with the Ministry of Education and Sports in the delivery and monitoring of Educationinterventions, supporting the capacity development of Education service providers, and helping raise the demand for quality Education services. The Education Specialist will also support the development of policies and strategies related to Education, as well as research and documentation to generate evidence for increased investments in Education, and support partnerships building.

Education:
  • An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, economics, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field.
Professional experience:
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
Language:
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
