Position description

Anglo American is a leading global mining company, and our products are the essential ingredients in almost every aspect of modern life. Our portfolio of world-class competitive mining operations provides the metals and minerals that enable a cleaner, greener, more sustainable world and that meet the fast-growing consumer-driven demands of the world’s developed and maturing economies. Anglo American is developing what will become the largest mine in the UK, the Woodsmith mine in North Yorkshire. Woodsmith will mine polyhalite, a mineral rich in crop nutrients.

Agriculture is facing a huge challenge: we must produce more food in the next four decades than we have in the last 8,000 years of agriculture combined, whilst addressing climate change and safeguarding soils. Our mission at Anglo American Crop Nutrients is to help farmers around the world increase crop production in a sustainable way by improving their efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility through the use of polyhalite based products. POLY4, our innovative primary product is a multi-nutrient granulated fertilizer. With no chemical processing and low carbon footprint during manufacturing, POLY4 is suitable for organic farming and offers season-long crop nutrition, whilst potentially improving drought and disease resistance and improving soil health. We believe that it is transformational in helping address food security challenges in a sustainable way.
