The Opportunity:
This leading organisation in the financial servcies sector is key when working in advocacy, collaboration with government, and providing information services to its wide range members. Their International Affairs function seeks a Manager to oversee their global operations, advise on advocacy plans and trade initiatives, and to collaborate with government departments to influence trade agendas. They also provide vital information services to members on foreign developments and UK trade policy. This exciting Manager role involves engaging with high-profile global stakeholders and leveraging policy expertise to support the organisation’s objectives in trade and market access.Main responsibilities:

  • Support the international engagement strategy by organising various engagements with stakeholders, and collaborating with policy teams on overseas advocacy plans
  • Work with UK and international industry stakeholders, such as the European Banking Federation, UK embassy’s abroad and UK and international governments
  • Support on the advocacy and policy planning on trade and market access.

Key skills required:

  • Excellent analytical, influencing and communications skills, both written and oral
  • An interest in the nexus of politics (including policy making), diplomacy and the financial services industry’s businesses and concerns
  • Strong organisational skills and confident working independently.
