If you have expertise in international transport, import, export, UK VAT rules, UK customs procedures, airline and ocean shipping charges, and fine art packing and crating techniques, then this opportunity is perfect for you!Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement efficient transportation and logistics strategies to optimise the movement of goods globally
Manage the import and export process, ensuring compliance with UK VAT rules and UK customs procedures
Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to negotiate favourable contracts and secure competitive shipping rates
Ensure accurate documentation and timely customs clearance for international shipments
Oversee fine art packing and crating, ensuring the safe transportation of valuable artwork
Monitor shipping schedules and resolve any issues to minimise delays and prevent disruptions in the supply chain
Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales and operations, to align logistics requirements with customer demands
Skills and Qualifications:Extensive experience in international logistics, including air and sea shipping procedures
Strong knowledge of UK VAT rules and UK customs procedures
Proven ability to manage complex logistics operations with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders
Proficient in using logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and managing inventory
Familiarity with international trade regulations and compliance requirements
Adept at analysing data and generating insightful reports to drive operational improvements
