Job Description

The incumbent will support the Senior Inter-Agency Coordination Officer, engaging with multiple stakeholders such as Government counterparts, United Nations entities, NGOs, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as the NGO Forum.
Tasks include for instance the organisation of meetings and events, as well as the collection and presentation of information on aspects of the humanitarian response from multiple counterparts.

Duties and responsibilities:

The tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Senior Inter-Agency Coordination Officer in the organization of the next Poland specific Refugee Response Plan Launch and subsequent post event follow-ups. This will include tasks such as: Support team members involved in the preparation; identifying and listing participants; preparing correspondence in English and Polish; contacting service providers.
  • Assist in follow-up, analysis and reporting related to UNHCR-led and other inter-agency plans and appeals (Refugee Response Plans, Contingency Plans , etc.)
  • Undertaking primary analysis and research, collate available information on a range of topics relevant to inter-agency fora;
  • Assisting in the preparation and coordination of UNHCR meetings, and drafting meeting minutes and reports;
  • Attending briefings and meetings and taking notes as requested;
  • Supporting the Inter-Agency Coordination team in translating relevant documents, articles, legal texts as required;
  • Undertaking other tasks as required.
Desirable qualifications and skills:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sharepoint;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Experience in organizing events or conferences.
