Internship Chargé de mission politique publique – Pacte pour les ruralités

The Grand Est Region is made up of a strong rural component: 94% of the regional space is rural : 4,553 communes; 4 out of 10 inhabitants live in rural areas.

Since January 2016, the Grand Est Region has embarked on an unprecedented adventure by fully devoting itself to rural territories, via the deployment of the very first “Pacte pour la Ruralité”.

Today, the Region is building with and for its rural territories the new “Pacte pour les Ruralités”, adopted at the plenary session on April 05, 2024, which highlights the diversity, richness and vitality of rural areas in the Grand Est.
This new Pact is an amplified regional action in the service of a shared ambition with all the rural territories of the Grand Est. Its aim is to consolidate the resources available to players in rural areas, be they residents, entrepreneurs/professionals, associations or, of course, local authorities, by offering appropriate responses to ensure the implementation of projects and encourage the dissemination of best practices.

Missions

The department’s main mission is to steer the Pacte pour les Ruralités, in all its aspects: monitoring deployment and implementation, governance and leadership, promotion and communication…Under the supervision of the strategic project manager in charge of rural areas, the intern will take part in the deployment of the Pacte pour les ruralités, adopted in April 2024, in all its aspects: monitoring, steering, coordination.

The internship requires a certain degree of autonomy and initiative.

Activities

Accompanied by the internship supervisor, the intern will take part in the following activities :

•     developing and supplying tools for monitoring the deployment and implementation of Pacte measures,
•     preparation of strategic meetings and internal or wider working meetings,
•     preparing notes and reports for elected representatives and the project team,
•     organizing and capitalizing on successful local initiatives.
