Internship – EU Public Affairs

Position description

EUK Consulting is looking for a motivated trainee to join our Brussels public affairs consultancy for a 6-month paid internship.

The successful candidate will work closely with the EUK Brussels team to:

• Monitor legislative activities and media trends;
• Write concise notes for internal and external use;
• Provide reports to clients in a timely manner;
• Analyse political developments;
• Attend and report on events.

Qualifications

• A good level of education in relevant fields – e.g. EU Affairs, International Relations, law, political science, etc.;
• Experience working with or in the EU institutions, national governments, consultancies, associations/federations (desirable but not mandatory);
• Full professional proficiency in English, with working knowledge of another EU official language; French is an asset;
• Interest in the inner workings of the EU;
• A flair for drafting analyses and background research.
