Job Description

The incumbent will support the strategic vision to align livelihoods and economic inclusion efforts with the Global Compact for Refugees (GCR), which emphasizes the need to mobilize other actors and take a whole-of-society approach to empower refugees and help alleviate pressure on host countries.

Duties and responsibilities:

Support knowledge management by building a repository of good practices, case studies and resources to be disseminated, develop/ promote communication materials, follow communication platforms, including social media,
Support coordination of the Unit’s work by providing logistical support for events, meetings, and trainings, taking minutes of meetings, tracking important action items to ensure completion, and tracking engagement with partners;
Provide support in writing reports, fact sheets and PowerPoint presentations;
Translate some reports and/or documents;
Assist with various daily tasks.
Perform any other tasks as needed.

Essential minimum qualifications and professional experience required

The ideal candidate will:

Excellent writing, analytical and task management skills;
Strong organizational skills especially analytical skills and attention to details
Have good written and verbal skills in English and Polish;
Demonstrated skills in social media and online communication tools/platforms;
Demonstrated experience in project management;
Pro-active interpersonal and communication skills, excellent for a multi-cultural environment;
Good prioritizing and self-management skills to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with humanitarian and/or development actors;
Have knowledge/experience working in the area of economic inclusion and livelihoods;
Demonstrated skills in computer software; knowledge of graphic design is an advantage;
Work experience in research institutes and/or development agencies is desirable;
Experience working on refugees/displaced populations is desirable;
Be able to multi-task and to prioritize workload;
Be a flexible team-player

Eligibility:
In order to be considered for an internship, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Recent graduate (those persons who completed their studies within one year of applying) or student currently in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university or higher education facility accredited by UNESCO; and
Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of the Organization.
