An intern is requested to bring energy and insights into this programme focus on the policy and education in emergency areas of work.

UNICEF’s work in Egypt is focused on promoting sustainable development with multidimensional equity for children, embodying the fair chance for every child principle.
In line with national priorities, the UNCRC (United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child) and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), UNICEF work in Egypt focuses on, amongst other areas, ensuring all children in Egypt regardless of the situation, receives a high-quality education.

Other areas of UNICEF’s work include sector coordination, curriculum reform, addressing bullying and violence in schools, secondary Educaton reform and advocating for greater investment in the education sector, particularly at the ECE (Early Childhood Education) and early grades for a more equitable future for all.
An intern is requested to bring energy and insights into this programme focus on the policy and education in emergency areas of work. The selected intern would get the opportunity to experience a dynamic large education programme working on the ground directly with schools, teacher and children and at the policy level with Ministers and senior civil servants in the largest education system in the region.

Remarks:
UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
