Reporting to: IntersosLab Board; Italy Head of Mission/Director General of INTERSOS
General context
IntersosLab is a social enterprise, whose main purpose is to provide Training courses and Career guidance services, in order to satisfy needs from both Italian and migrants young, adults, workers, students, employed and unemployed people. Its activity is planned and realized in close synergy with the humanitarian organization INTERSOS.
IntersosLab has been established in Italy in 2021 to provide effective answers and solutions to the growing flow of migrants, on the basis of experience gained in the management of international humanitarian emergencies since 1992. IntersosLab initiatives are based on the principles of equality, justice, human dignity, peace, solidarity, respect for diversity and special care for the most vulnerable people.
General purpose of the position
Strategic Manager of IntersosLab has a general purpose that can be split in 3 main developing directions:
- Elaborate and implement an overall development strategy for IntersosLab Srl along 2 main programmatic fronts: a) International Programming and Project development; b) Creation and structuring of IntersosLab international training and research sector.
- Develop an international network in which IntersosLab may grow with its potentialities in coordination with INTERSOS
- In coordination with Intersos Learning&Development Unit, to structure and coordinate an internal system of training in favor of INTERSOS staff and also in favor of eventual external individuals
Main responsibilities and tasks
- In coordination with its supervisors, draw and implement a strategic development plan for IntersosLab in line with the 3 directions of development illustrated above
- Work alongside the CEO of INTERSOSLab and coordinate his/her actions with INTERSOSLab’s general action plan
- Coordinate with the INTERSOS offices related to its work, mainly the Advocacy Office, the General Directorate and the Italy Mission
- Achieve financial growth objectives in favor of IntersosLab with fundraising actions
Required profile and experience
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Education, Organizational Development, etc.)
Professional experience and requirements
- At least 10 years of international experience in managing and developing complex systems
- Proven experience in strategic planning, program development, and team leadership
- Strong experience in designing and managing training process
- Direct experiences in Humanitarian relief action is a plus
- Knowledge of the most important funds for capacity building at regioanl level, but also national and international level
- Strong understanding of training and development principles
Personal requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
Languages
- Italian,
- Proficiency in English
- Other EU language is an asset
