Summary of Job Duties:
The Radiology Nurse will provide direct patient care as a RN in Prep and Recovery, Interventional Radiology. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, residents, and staff. Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The Radiology Nurse will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans within Prep and Recovery, and Interventional Radiology.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master’s in Nursing. 

• Valid RN License.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Basic computer skills.

• Strong work ethics and accountability.

Preferred:

• 1 or more years of RN nursing experience

• ED, ICU, IR or Cath lab experience

• Current BLS. 

Responsibilities:

The RN will provide patients support, education, and assistance in the prevention and/or maintenance of their disease and/or health and wellness state and will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans, and provide support to the patient in self-management. Coordinate care and/or follow-up for patients who receive care in outpatient clinics. Coordination of prescription refill requests and patient education coordination in collaboration with physician staff. The RN will develop a specialty in patient care related to the clinic’s populations and acts as a resource. The RN will work with the providers and clinical staff to implement innovative approaches and set priorities to meet patient/family needs. Commitment to patient outcomes results in high levels of performance despite workload changes.
