Job Summary: The Inventory & Logistics Student Assistant takes inventory and delivers/picks-up technology equipment for the College of Arts & Sciences. Enters data for new technology equipment. Updates the A&S inventory system. Performs physical audits on pieces of technology equipment. Creates equipment lists for surplus and buyback by using Excel or Google Sheets. Creates tasks for pickups and deliveries. Sorts pieces of equipment. Organizes and maintains equipment storage space. Performs vehicle inspections before using the vehicle. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Must have and maintain a minimum of 2.25 cumulative GPA or higher. Must have valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge in using personal computers, data entry, and standard application software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and web browsers). Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with computers. Proficient with MS Excel, Google Sheets, and data entry.
Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
