We are seeking a candidate to join our team as Investment Analyst for a 2-year program. The 2-Year Investment Analyst Program is designed to develop the analyst’s fundamental investment skills and competencies as a contributing member of an institutional investment office. Our investment analysts work closely with senior team members across investment functions including original and ongoing due diligence, quantitative and qualitative analysis, portfolio modeling, and decision-making. The Investment Analyst will gain exposure to a variety of asset classes, encompassing public and private markets globally, representing a unique learning and networking opportunity. The successful candidate will work on real-world projects and could significantly impact future performance of the endowment. Collaborating with Carnegie Mellon’s Chief Investment Officer and other team members, the Investment Analyst will play a key role in helping to manage the endowment. The Investment Analyst’s responsibilities will include:

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc (as needed) Investment Committee presentations
  • Monitor existing portfolio investments
  • Support overall investment operations and maintain data integrity of investment manager database
  • Provide analytical support for senior team members
  • Assist with the due diligence of prospective investment opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Education: Obtained or actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required with an anticipated graduation date in Spring 2024.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of related internship or work experience preferred, but not required.

  • Satisfactory background check, including a credit check

Additional Information:

  • This position will be based in Pittsburgh, PA and have the ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days on campus/on-site with 2 days remote.
