SJC Partners are currently working with a multinational investment bank, with 23 offices globally, who are looking to recruit an Investment Banking Vice President for their Healthcare team as part of their ambitious growth plans.

The healthcare team is currently the top performing sector team across the business and this recruit is seen as pivotal to future and sustained growth. As a Vice President, you will support new business development and Investment Banking engagements and work on a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancing’s and leveraged buyouts.

More specifically you will:

• Execute transactions within the context of deal teams
• Create and prepare client presentations in support of new business development and transaction execution
• Develop, analyse and explain historical and projected financial information
• Coordinate and perform business due diligence
• Prepare confidential memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations
• Value companies and businesses
• Build relationships and maintain direct contact with current and prospective clients
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to Associates and Analysts

In terms of deal size, the team typically works on a range between £50m and £500m with a particular focus on Healthcare services and Pharma services (they also do deals in the Medtech space).

Applicants will possess a minimum of 7 years M&A/investment banking experience (healthcare is not a pre-requisite though would be favourably regarded) with strong execution experience on end to end deals (closed deal experience). You must have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously as well as a strong motivation to develop professional networks and help grow the business via initiating and extending group marketing and client development efforts.
