If you are looking to make an impact in a dynamic and collaborative environment, you’ve found the right role.As a Investment & Corporate Banking Regulatory Change Management – Vice President in ICB Business Control Management (BCM) department you will manage the non-financial / operational risk of the ICB front office businesses, as it has global coverage and supports the front office Investment & Corporate Banking (ICB) franchise which comprises of Capital Markets, M&A and Lending businesses in the identification of applicable laws and regulations which impact the activities of ICB businesses and their related risks and controls.You will be assigned on two major Firmwide program: (i) Office of Legal Obligation (OLO) program and (ii) Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) program.OLO is a firm-wide, global initiative that brings together the expertise of Legal, Lines of Business (LoBs), Control Management, Compliance, Risk and other key control functions, to proactively manage regulatory changes in our operations and allow us to trace end-to-end connections between laws, rules and regulations on the one hand, and our policies and procedures and processes that demonstrate compliance on the other.As part of the OLO program, you will be required to provide impact assessment for legal obligations and map those that are applicable for ICB to business procedures. This will involve working extensively with Legal, Functional groups and business stakeholders to investigate, co-ordinate and collate the required supporting documentation. The role will provide considerable exposure to both functional partners and the business.As part of the CRA program, you will be responsible to identify ICB controls capable of mitigating the risks arising from specific regulation types.Roles and Key Responsibilities
- reviews and mapps legal obligations as required
- identifies Controls which are relevant to obligations
- provides QA to ensure consistency of quality for output from the team and also work with the CIB QA team on their queries
- tracks and resolve items that impact project goals and timelines
- responds and resolve items identified by QA and audit process
- supports the preparation, interpretation and review of the Compliance Risk Assessments
- keeps the control tagging evergreen as the underlying control framework and population of associated legal obligations evolve
- develops and deploys subject matter expertise of local business activities, applicability of rules and regulations, and the local legal and regulatory framework
- represents ICB in working groups and other meetings for specific Compliance Risk framework requirements
Key Skills
- Relevant experience/knowledge of financial services and financial regulations
- Professional, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
- Excellent business judgement, particularly the ability to proactively monitor the work stream to identify issues early
- Excellent project management skills and ability to instill structure, process and accountability is essential
- Detail oriented, with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control. Attention to detail is critical in this role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, comfort with working and partnering with people at all levels and across all functional areas. Able to motivate and gain consensus among staff to drive initiatives to completion critical
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Adept at interpreting legal text as a layperson (note: formal legal qualifications are not required)
- Knowledge of ICB products and businesses
