JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Counter Trafficking Officer and overall guidance of the Protection Coordinator in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and direct assistance/ case management and psychosocial support of potential and victim of trafficking (VOT) in IOM Cox’s Bazar Office. The Field Staff will oversee individual through direct assistance/case management and provide the appropriate support for each individual in the field. The Field Staff will oversee information collection and advocacy related to CT gaps and services in the camps.

Key Responsibilities

1.Support responsive case management, psychosocial interventions, adheres to best-practice principles when working with VOTs.

2. Providing the necessary support the CT Case Workers on providing direct assistance/case management services, including victim identification, assessments, and care plans with the victim of trafficking.

3. Arranging and attending the debriefing sessions with CT team members.

4. Assisting the CT officer in identify and facilitate needs of awareness raising, training and gaps in the field for CT Case Workers and Implementing partners.

5. Work closely with CT staffs, community volunteers, implementing partners to design activities that respond to identified needs.

6. Identify concerns related to and support adherence to CT referral mechanism to all relevant organizations and agencies.

7. Providing assistance in Maintaining /updating of detailed work plan(s) that support and achieve activities including awareness raising, coordination meeting, case conference, etc.

8. Assisting the CT Officer in preparation of submitting weekly, monthly and three-month work plans in a timely manner, and incorporate supervisor feedback as requested; Compile monthly activity report for submission.

9. Support the attendance records and other reporting tools are implemented and routinely provided to relevant staff including CT Officer, CT National Officer and CT Coordinator.

10. Providing support, the quality of Rapid Assessment Form, Screening Form, Case Record, Case Notes and other related documents of the VOTs.

11. Assisting the data input in IOM Global CT Data, Management and Operational Systems Application (MIMOSA) by CT Case Workers.

12. Maintaining the proper filing system of both soft copy and hard copy of ethical and safety standards

13. Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is accurately completed and submitted.

14. Perform any other duties that the supervisor may assign

Required Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Secondary school/Diploma certificate, with minimum five years of experience working with women, children and/or victims of trafficking. Or;
• Bachelors’ degree with minimum three years of experience working with women, children and victim of trafficking.
• Experience working with victim of trafficking is an asset
• Previous experience with CT programming an asset
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to helping others.
• Demonstrated discretion and good judgment
• Degree or experience in psychology, women’s studies, social work or public health preferred.
