Under the general guidance of the Chief of Mission, the overall supervision of the Media and Communications Officer, and the direct supervision of the Senior Communications Associate, the Project Associate Graphic Designer will be responsible for the following key duties:
Core Functions / Responsibilities
Develop creative concepts, visual assets, and layouts for IOM Iraq’s campaigns and projects, ensuring alignment with IOM’s global branding guidelines.
Contribute to the development of communication materials, press briefing notes and social media
updates, showcasing IOM’s work in line with donor visibility requirements and IOM guidelines.
Design a variety of materials, including but not limited to reports, infographics, social media visuals, posters, brochures, banners, event branding, and presentations.
Design graphics tailored for social media platforms, including static posts, animated graphics, and story content, optimized for engagement and visibility.
Create custom illustrations and infographics to visually represent complex data, stories, and project outcomes for both internal and external audiences.
Provide support with visual elements for video projects, including title screens, lower thirds, animations, and graphics as needed.
Ensure that all designs adhere to IOM’s ethical communication standards, safeguarding principles, and do-no-harm approach.
Manage multiple design projects and deliver high-quality materials within agreed-upon deadlines.
Incorporate feedback from the MCU team, project leads, and stakeholders into the design process to ensure satisfaction and alignment with communication goals.
Maintain organized files of all design materials and provide editable files and final versions to the MCU team for future use and reference.
Perform any other design duties as may be assigned by the Media and Communications Officer.
