The National Programme Officer (CCCM) will support IOM’s CCCM field operations by coordinating activities in sites and host communities, assisting implementing partners, and guiding field staff on core CCCM tasks such as site coordination, feedback mechanisms, and basic site maintenance.
Field Coordination
Support the induction, training, gruidance, and capacity-building of newly recruited CCCM staff and implementing partners to promote adherence to CCCM standards, methodologies, and operational procedures.
Technical Programme Support
Prepare regular programme updates, reports, analyses, and briefing notes on CCCM activities, highlighting achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations for programme improvement.
Attend cluster meetings, working groups, and other coordination forums as delegated by the supervisor.
Reporting and Information Management
Contribute to timely information sharing, reporting, and coordination with the CCCM Cluster, government counterparts, and other relevant coordination mechanisms.
Administrative and Operational Support
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Ability to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervision
Proven ability to interact effectively with government officials/local authorities and other institutions essential.
Good drafting ability and communication skills, both oral and written to produce reports in English and Portuguese.
Knowledge of the social protection system and victim assistance mechanism (advantageous);
Able to work independently, under pressure, undertake frequent project related travels and able to work during weekends and overtime.
Good computer literacy.
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM”s official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written)
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
