ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.

Implementation of the strategy is guided by three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The Enterprise Architecture department in ITS is seeking to hire an IT Analyst, Business Management, with business process management and data science background to help architect business process models and support EA’s data-driven Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Architecture practices across the World Bank Group. The IT Analyst must be capable of understanding BPM and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), working with end users, architecting, and analyzing business processes.

Responsibilities:

This position requires knowledge and experience with business process management solutions, understanding of EA processes, as well as experience in data analysis. The professional will be responsible for providing BPM services to WBG Chennai staffs and supporting maintenance and governance process of the cloud based WBG Business ProcessCentral Repository and conduct data analysis engagements.

• The specific roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Analyze WBG business processes and identify optimization opportunities with a structured approach.
• Engage with Business, conduct workshops to develop value stream, map process models, and business capability model management, etc.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify patterns and trends, conduct impact assessments and develop recommendations for to be state with process optimization.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the business domain and data within the WBG context and apply the knowledge towards developing and maintaining the identified Process Models
• Architect and model WBG wide business processes using WBG Business ProcessCentral Repository tool or similar Data visualization tools.
• Serve as the point of contact for our clients in Chennai and lead workshops and provide guidance on BPM related discussions.
• Identify critical change opportunities, use best practice consulting tools and methodologies to optimize processes (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, consulting frameworks, etc.)
• Support training, communications and change management for WBG process repository related activities to WBG Chennai staffs.
• Be on the constant lookout for opportunities to fine tune business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Support maintenance and governance of the cloud based WBG Business ProcessCentral Repository (iGrafx).
• Produce and maintain various Governance and impact assessment reports for, EA, IT and business stake holders.

Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as Business architecture, business process analysis and management and data science with 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The following degrees may be preferred: Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Management or Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting.
• Basic understanding of Enterprise Architecture and frameworks
• Strong experience with documenting and analyzing business processes and Business Analysis is required.
• Understanding WBG Business is desired.
• Must have experience to create and maintain reports, dashboards, and other data visualization tools to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Must have knowledge on developing and implementing data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Must have experience using MS Visio for documenting process/information flows and architecture, knowledge of iGrafx a plus.
• Basic knowledge on Enterprise architecture and frameworks
• Experience with data analytics tools and methodologies (e.g. Python, MS Power BI, Tableau, MS Excel) is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate and manage working groups is a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
