Salary: $6,331.00 – $8,514.00 Monthly

The Forest Practices Information Technology Team creates, implements, and maintains complex program-wide information systems composed of various technologies to provide business services to statewide region and division staff, the regulated community, the Forest Practices Board, other stakeholders (departments of Ecology, Fish and Wildlife, Archeology and Historic Preservation, and Agriculture; Tribes; small and large forest landowners, counties, etc.) and the public.
This position creates and maintains mobile technology solutions for meeting statewide Forest Practices Program functions. The position also maintains content on the external-facing website for the program.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain technology solutions for DNR staff to meet Forest Practices business needs. These include custom applications, maps, tabular entry forms, reports, and dashboards using web and mobile platforms primarily built on ESRI platforms.
- Create and maintain enterprise data structures to meet the statewide Forest Practices program business functions. These include Oracle tables, geodatabase and SDE layers, and ArcGIS Online and portal layers.
- Complete requested edits of the DNR external website built on Drupal technology.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Environmental Science, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, or related field,
OR four (4) years of recent experience in the following areas:- Using the ESRI platform,
- Troubleshooting technology issues,
- Using GIS software and data
OR a combination of education or/experience equivalent to the above.
- Recent experience with system administration and basic software development, database management, data modeling, and process modeling principles.
- Recent experience in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python, HTML, etc.).
- Recent experience working with relational database management systems (RDMS) such as Oracle, SQL, Postgres, etc.
