DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 700 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for a IT Assistant (Roving) in Kyiv.
This position is for citizens of Ukraine or those who have the right to work in Ukraine.
About the job
- Under the supervision of an IT expert, you will provide support to all DRC staff. As a key member of the IT department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and networks, enabling our staff to focus on their primary work — improving lives and making positive changes.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support to company employees.
- Setting up workstations and peripheral devices.
- Creating instructions and conducting IT training for staff.
- Managing user accounts, including password resets and MFA, ensuring data security.
- Analyzing networks and troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Following IT procedures and resolving technical issues identified by the IT Coordinator.
- Keeping records of equipment, licenses, and user requests.
- Collaborating with the procurement department on IT equipment inventory tasks.
- Being prepared for travel to provide IT support at regional offices (Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Sumy).
About you
To succeed in this role, we are looking for a motivated individual who wants to learn quickly and communicate with various stakeholders.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- Understanding of basic network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN).
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating system at an administrator level.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and the ability to diagnose related issues.
- Experience with Office 365 and troubleshooting skills in the Microsoft environment.
- Proficiency in English at an intermediate or higher level for oral and written communication with colleagues.
- Personal skills: communication, independence, punctuality, ability to work in a team.
Desirable
- Knowledge of MS Active Directory basics (GPO, Domain Structure, Shared Folders).
- Experience working as a system administrator/assistant system administrator for at least 1 year.
- Experience working in non-profit organizations.
