Job Description
The Business Relationship Management (BRM) role is a critical link among Technology Services departments and with external stakeholders. This emerging Information Technology role relies heavily on your ability to build and nurture strong relationships, manage conflict and collaborate with assigned units to identify and develop strategic IT solutions. Successful BRM’s combine technical expertise with interpersonal skills. They bridge the gap between technology and business, ensuring IT solutions align with organizational objectives.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; and two years of related work experience in either customer service, problem resolution, communication, or information technology. Preferred candidate has knowledge of emerging technologies and IT industry issues and the ability to navigate organizational complexities.

Advocate and Relationship Management
As a BRM, you’ll actively engage with various business units and stakeholders. Your role is to foster positive relationships, understand their needs, and align IT solutions accordingly.
You’ll act as a bridge, strong relationships can lead to better cooperation, understanding and alignment of IT solutions with departmental needs.
Orchestrating and Navigating:
The BRM orchestrates efforts across different departments. You’ll collaborate with IT teams, project managers, and business units to streamline processes, improve workflows, or implement best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Navigating organizational complexities is crucial.
Optimizing IT Processes:
BRMs play a pivotal role in continuous improvement. You’ll assess existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes.
You will proactively identify areas where IT can enhance its services, recommend better business processes, and ensure improvements lead to stronger program results and meaningful outcomes.
