The Opportunity

Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled IT Field Services Technician III to become a pivotal part of our Field Services team within the Network Services domain. This is your chance to make a significant impact at a prestigious institution, contributing to the backbone that supports our vibrant campus community.
As an IT Field Services Technician III, you will play a crucial role in installing, repairing, and maintaining the physical and electronic components of our diverse network infrastructure. Your expertise will span across wired, wireless, and voice networks, in addition to performing moves, adds, and changes to the existing infrastructure and equipment. Under very general supervision, your day-to-day will involve:
Prepare to engage in fieldwork across diverse campus locations beyond just the typical office locations, from bustling construction sites to serene outdoor settings. Your safety is our priority; comprehensive safety training and gear will be provided. A valid NYS driver’s license is essential as you will navigate the campus in a university vehicle, contributing to the vibrant life on campus. This position requires rotational 24/7 on-call responsibilities throughout each calendar year.
