Job Description:

Identifies, analyzes, tests, and recommends hardware and software solutions and resolves complex hardware and software issues. Provides advanced and highly complex technical support by phone and in-person on multiple client operating systems, including Windows and MacOS, and software solutions including Office Suites, virus protection, email, and browser clients. Support may require extensive problem diagnostics for resolution. Designs, documents, and implements problem resolutions. Builds and/or customizes programs based on client needs. Highly complex and technical resolution of IT systems designs and maintenance. Level of technical skill is highly advanced.
Identifies, analyzes, tests, recommends and implements classroom and conference room multimedia and audio/video (A/V) solutions and resolves complex multimedia and A/V issues. Provides advanced and complex multimedia and A/V support by phone and in-person on multiple platforms and services. This may involve travel to IFAS locations using a state vehicle. Identifies, recommends, implements and supports digital signage solutions. Provides support for video conferencing and collaboration platforms including virtual and in-person conferences.
Interface with hardware and software technology vendors, and members of the UF IT community to keep current on industry trends and UF initiatives. Recommends, maintains and reports on IFAS hardware and software standards, industry trends, and university initiatives to the IFAS IT Community.

Other duties as assigned.

Incumbent must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds.

Expected Salary:

$65K – $71K, based on experience and education.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced-level technical knowledge of client systems, Microsoft Active Directory,
Microsoft Windows, macOS, various client software applications and management
tools, with hardware and software in a networked environment.
Advanced-level technical knowledge of classroom and conference room multimedia and
audio/video (A/V) solutions.
Intermediate-level technical knowledge of offered cloud services. Technical training and
documentation experience.
Excellent customer service.
Excellent written and oral communication.
