USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning. MCGL seeks an IT Officer to support the Project activities implementation. The MCGL Jordan program will provide support to the USAID/Jordan-funded Government to Government Partnership for Health in Family Planning (PHFP) program, led by the Ministry of Health (MOH), with aims to promote and provide quality family planning services to the population of Jordan. The position will report to the Senior Data Systems Capacity Strengthening Advisor.
The IT Officer is responsible for the effective running of the technology infrastructure, providing IT support to users, and making recommendations for the improvement of IT services as required. In addition, the IT Officer will support the Senior Data Systems capacity-Strengthening advisor efforts, including support in conducting training and offering technical support to the MOH staff in different activities. The nature of this work requires an individual who is service-oriented, organized, and who can interact with diverse end-users and technical staff, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues.
