An exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager, steering end-to-end delivery across the project life cycle. Be responsible for strategic information systems projects at the University. From engaging key stakeholders to overseeing complex system implementations, your role involves meticulous project management, mentorship, and maintaining effective governance. Key responsibilities include:

Analyse, document, and deliver strategic information systems projects for the University

Manage complex new systems through design, development, and implementation
-
Mentor team members as directed by the Senior Program Manager, ITS
-
Support Product Owner(s) in managing expectations, communications, and project governance
-
Organise and lead project meetings, distribute progress reports, and manage risks and issues
-
Coordinate internal and external resources for flawless project execution
-
Ensure projects are on-time, within scope and budget
-
Develop project plans, track progress, and manage changes effectively
-
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
-
Report and escalate as needed, manage client relationships, and perform risk management
-
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
-
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
About You
We seek an experienced Project Manager with postgraduate qualifications (or be in progress towards postgraduate qualifications) in Business, Project Management or a related field or an equivalent combination of qualifications and workplace experience. You will also have:

Extensive experience in coordinating technical change management processes.
-
Proficiency in business requirements analysis and technical solution design.
-
Demonstrated leadership in complex IT projects within an agile environment, covering project meetings, reporting, risk management, and delivery planning.

Proven team development skills, fostering accountability, removing roadblocks, leveraging resources, and mentoring team members.
-
Ability to support the Product Owner in managing expectations, stakeholder communications, and implementing effective project governance.
-
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse teams and create clear specifications.
-
Capacity to handle pressure, manage conflicting demands, and take responsibility.
-
Willingness to innovate and embrace new processes and technologies for superior service and quality outcomes.
Desirable:
-
Experience in higher education settings.
-
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum environments, Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA), and Microsoft Office suite.

Exposure to Salesforce (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and enterprise customer relationship management software deployment.
-
PMP/PRINCE2 certification.
