St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint both an IT Support Officer and an IT Support & Training Officer.  Both posts work as part of the team providing an IT support service for college members in person and remotely, including running an in-person Helpdesk in the Library during term time.  The IT Support and Training Officer co-ordinates IT Training and the IT support portal including writing documentation and delivering one-to-one and small group training.

We are looking to appoint to both of these posts as part of this recruitment process and we will consider your application for both roles if you apply.  You are welcome to express a preference for one role if you wish to.

If appointed, you will join a friendly team of nine staff in the IT department with a diverse range of skills working in newly built office accommodation.  IT is increasingly key to the operation of the College and this is a great opportunity to get a very broad experience of IT service delivery.

The College offers a competitive benefits package including membership of a defined contributory pension scheme, 36 days’ annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays), access to a ‘cash plan’ healthcare scheme currently provided by Simplyhealth, free lunch (up to a specified monetary limit), free use of an on-site Gym and free parking close to the College site, subject to availability.
