The Opportunity

Reporting to the Admin Manager, you will oversee CRC’s IT systems and contribute to positively effect change within the criminal justice sector. The role will provide essential IT support across the organisation including our Canterbury Head office and regional offices across NSW.

We are looking for a person who has demonstrated workplace experience – a relevant qualification will be highly regarded. You will have exceptional customer service skills to provide a friendly, helpful IT support for the organisation. You will work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders and foster a positive workplace culture. You will be adept at managing your own time to deliver outcomes to agreed schedules and use judgement and initiative to ensure the smooth running of CRC’s IT systems.

Your role includes:

  • IT Systems and Administration: You will coordinate CRC’s IT service provision and provide technical expertise and assistance including coordination of the IT Helpdesk, Office 365, Exchange Mailbox management and configuration and Sharepoint site configuration. Computer hardware and software deployment and troubleshooting, cyber security and special projects are included in the role. You will coordinate software licensing renewals, conduct Azure backup configuration and monitoring.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: You will provide end user support for CRC’s IT systems including the Client Management System (CMS). You will provide IT induction, training and support for staff and develop IT procedures and plain English How To Guides. You will liaise with our CMS software developers in relation to reporting, bug fixes and enhancements. You will provide assistance to CRC management to ensure CMS data integrity and client file audits. You will liaise with CRC’s external IT provider and escalate complex issues when required.
  • Organisational Goals: You will assist in the identification of gaps in Information Technology and participate in quality and continuous improvement. You will identify areas in IT systems for improved efficiency, streamline processes, reduce costs and duplication.

Your usual work hours will be between Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work, as required.

The Community Restorative Centre (CRC) provides a range of services to people involved in the criminal justice system and their families. CRC is the lead provider of specialist throughcare, post-release, and reintegration programs for people transitioning from prison into the community in NSW. All CRC programs aim to reduce crime and break entrenched cycles of disadvantage, offending and imprisonment. The work we carry out is wide and varied and aims to be responsive to CRC’s needs and the political climate. Importantly, our work is informed by the lived experience of the people with whom we work, CRC staff, the wider NGO sector, as well as academic and expert partners.

To join us, you’ll need:

  • The unrestricted right to work in Australia
  • Level 1 or 2 Technician experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Windows server and Entra user and Group policy management
  • Experience of Azure Backup configuration and monitoring
  • Experience in Exchange mailbox management and configuration.
  • Experience in SharePoint site configuration and Office 365 application utilisation
  • Experience in Anti-virus deployment, monitoring and infection resolution
  • Experience with Essential eight practices, Cyber security implementation and user training
  • Experience of Network and wireless troubleshooting, in particular with Draytek routers
  • Experience with Computer hardware and software deployment and troubleshooting
  • Excel skills and data manipulation
  • Experience with CMS administration and user support
