JAPANESE KNOTWEED SURVEYOR REQUIRED

JKSL are looking for a new Japanese knotweed/non-native invasive plant surveyor to join our
excellent team in ideally May-July 2024 to meet the demands of our constantly growing business. Please note that the start date can be
immediately if this is required by the successful candidate (we are flexible on this).

With the Survey Department you will be involved with the following day to day tasks:

  • Site visits throughout the UK, mainly on your own or in a pair on a large survey (survey
    vehicle is provided).
  • Report writing.
  • AutoCAD drawings for surveys.
  • Pricing tenders and budgets for the department.
  • Following up projects/leads and securing contracts.
  • You will be given a sales target and also will qualify for the bonus scheme for this
    department.
  • Assisting the Operations Department and the site teams undertaking the projects.

We are looking for self-motivated, reliable, punctual individuals with good communication
skills and a positive professional attitude at all times. Ideally the candidate will already have experience within our industry but this
is not essential as full training will be required. Each candidate has an individual training budget of £500-£1,000/year to help support
their development within the company. A university graduate would be well suited to the position.

A company vehicle will be provided for this role.

Whilst we are not staying away from home that often at present to meet the requirements of our
clients at times, candidates will be required to work away from home at times. This will involve staying overnight nationwide.
The company will provide an overnight allowance which pays for accommodation, breakfast and evening meal.

Working hours are typically 08:00am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday. We currently run a stakeholder
Pension Scheme for employees.

The following are desired:

  • Self-motivated, reliable, punctual, good communication skills and a positive professional
    attitude at all times.
  • Computer literate
  • A full, clean, UK Driving Licence
  • Reasonable plant knowledge
  • AutoCAD experience

The following would be advantageous, but are not mandatory:

  • Relevant degree
  • PCA CSJK qualified
  • BASIS qualified
  • PA1, PA6 and PA6AW and other spraying licenses
  • CSCS Card
  • H & S training such as IOSH or NEBOSH

Successful candidates will be well presented, have a strong work ethic and work well within a
team.
