1. Background:

The Job Coach plays a key role in supporting program participants to access and retain employment opportunities. The position focuses on improving employability, facilitating job placements, and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to ensure successful integration into the workplace. The Job Coach works closely with employers, vocational training providers, and other stakeholders to match participants’ skills with market needs.

. Purpose of the Position:

To provide individualized guidance, career counseling, and job placement support to beneficiaries, helping them overcome barriers to employment and develop the skills needed for sustainable livelihoods.

. Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct one-on-one and group coaching sessions focused on career goals, job search techniques, and workplace readiness.

· Support participants in developing resumes, cover letters, and preparing for interviews.

· Identify individual strengths, skills, and areas for development through assessments.

· Provide motivation and continuous mentoring to enhance self-confidence and job retention.

· Build and maintain relationships with local employers, companies, and training institutions.

· Match job seekers with suitable employment or internship opportunities.

· Facilitate communication between employers and participants during recruitment and onboarding.

· Monitor job placements to ensure sustainability and provide post-employment support.

· Maintain accurate records of participants, coaching sessions, and job placements.

· Contribute to periodic reports, evaluations, and lessons learned documentation.

· Participate in coordination meetings, capacity-building activities, and community outreach events.

· Support in the design and facilitation of employability workshops or job fairs.
