Salary: Up to £55,000 (Negotiable for senior joinery specialists)

We are a dynamic main contractor specializing in commercial, retail, and leisure projects. With a robust portfolio and increasing demand, we are looking to expand our estimating team with a skilled Estimator specializing in joinery.Role Overview:
As an Estimator specializing in joinery, you will join our Nottingham office and be part of a dedicated team of two other estimators and a quantity surveyor. This is an intermediate to senior-level position that offers the flexibility of hybrid working. Your expertise in joinery will be crucial in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for projects ranging from £250K to £3M.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for joinery projects, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate closely with the commercial team and quantity surveyors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Work within the tendering team to develop and submit tenders for commercial, retail, and leisure projects.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate the best prices.
Conduct site visits as required to gather essential information for accurate estimation.
Present estimates and tender submissions to senior management and clients.
Monitor and review cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgetary control.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating processes and methodologies.Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator with a specialization in joinery.
Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and estimating software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel to sites as required.
