School of Design: School Social Media and Online Content Assistant

 We are seeking a motivated and creative School of Design student to become our ‘Social Media and Online Content Assistant’. This role will involve supporting our social media and digital marketing efforts to enhance our online presence and increase the external visibility of the School of Design.

Main responsibilities:

Assist in the creation of engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. It will be essential to curate relevant content from various sources to share on social media, ensuring alignment with our brand voice and values. To help ensure brand alignment, you will liaise regularly with the University and Faculty Marketing teams.

Liaise with all Portfolio Leaders across the School of Design to ensure an even representation of Portfolio coverage across posts and created content.

Schedule and publish social media posts using scheduling tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer, ensuring consistency and timely delivery of content. After posting content, monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, and engage with followers to foster positive interactions.

Collaborate with the Faculty marketing team to develop and execute social media campaigns and promotions aimed at increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, and enhancing the external visibility of the School.

Work with the School of Design Tech Team to access appropriately high-quality image capture hardware for filming purposes. Create visually appealing graphics, images, and other multimedia content for social media posts using relevant software tools.

Work will be offered on a flexible basis and may include evening and occasional weekend work.
